Comics? Do we mix them with Books (which I think we should, and in which case I’ve got loads more stuff to add) or not (in which case I can soon take a bit of a bookbreak until the rest of my books are out of storage!)

I’d like to get some consensus in the books guidelines thread. There seems to be support for having comics included in books. I’ll follow up in the thread, but once we make a decision I can import comicogs separately or into books.
That’s the initial import of filmogs, now called homevideo. I’ll make it public soon but wanted to make sure the structure was in a good place to start. Reigning in the company roles dropdown was the main thing.
So far there has been (I think) 4 in support and none against. I think another user also was in favour of comics in Books in another thread. I suppose my question here was whether or not it was even being considered.
Perhaps there could be an issue tying up credits shared between Books and old comicogs data? There are certainly credits here already in Books that would be present in comicogs.
I’ll leave it alone for now then!
Plus, comicogs had that weird thing with “Publisher” being a sole identity, instead of a simple “Credit”. So the same entity (publishing house xyz) would be in the database twice, once as publisher and once as credit (for example as a copyright holder).
I don’t think I ever made any edits to comicogs - I was close to sorting through my collection (which had been packed away for a few years) when the otherogs closed down, so I’m not overly familiar with its structures.
There will probably be some triage to do after import, whatever the process… there’s plenty of it to do now, to be fair. We should probably start a thread on normalising company credits; setting limits of when a company needs a new Credit, how to determine whether they are the same or a different company entity which just happens to share a variant name, etc. Then get some of them tidied up. I had been building a list of some of them, but it got lost in trying to resolve Windows problems. 
Okay, I will investigate how easy it will be to import comics into the existing books structure.
