"English Title" on 'books'

Is this going to restore the original titles on the imported editions?

Plus, I think we now have a few good examples for the “English Title” not being limited to non-English Books. Should be “Alternative English Title” or something like that.

It is very sad to see how each step taken in this cataloger shows that preferences lead to a niche instead of generalization.

@Lisa So what is your suggestion?

As @Burnett had mentioned on various threads in the forum: almost everything is up for discussion to make this a userfriendly page. As much as I appreciate generalization when it makes sense, as soon as things are too vague (or require a deeper insight into the matter to understand the goal that is served) it will lead to an endless amount of editing on incorrect entries.
Plus, things get lost in translation, so being as precise as possible is the best one could do.
For this specific topic though, if you check my initial post, it would have been very easy to be generalized (as you wished) and simple to understand: English translation of a non English original title. Nothing less, nothing more. Even if that means, that some double meanings & play on words might get lost.
Suddenly alternative titles of already existing translations came up and it went downhill from there.
And of course I will point out if I think an argument is not thought through to the end and argue what the logic (at least logic for my understanding) consequences might be.
