How do I credit a copyright holder “as Trustee” correctly?
Just the (pre-existing) credit and adding it on by ANV?
What’s the form of the copyright? Typically, I see things like “Copyright [date] Trustees of [Named individual]”, in which case just credit “Trustees of Named individual” rather than “Named individual”.
But if it’s something like “Copyright [date] Named individual (trustee)”, I’d currently just use the standard “Copyright holder” role.
It’s on one of the James Bond movie novelizations.
The credit is simply for “Copyright” and says “Glidrose Publications Ltd. as Trustee”
Glidrose (now operating as Ian Fleming Publications Ltd.) manages the literary rights of Ian Fleming.
Hmm, so do we need another credit role?
I’d be tempted just to use “Copyright Holder” and perhaps a note on the Glidrose Publications Ltd. credit page that they operated as a corporate trustee for some time.
Perhaps in future we’ll have the ability to record additional info against credits.
Alternatively, we could ask for a “Trustee” credit role, and record both facts separately.
How do I credit a Copyright “by arrangement with”?
It’s an edition translated to German, so the German publisher has a copyright credited for the translation, but the main copyright is credited like this:
Copyright © 1979 by arrangement with Dell Publishing Co., Inc
Usually, if the original publisher is the copyright holder, it would just state:
Copyright © 1979 Dell Publishing Co., Inc
I think this is still expresses the idea that the copyright holder for the work is Dell Publishing Co., Inc.
Most likely, but why that weird wording? I’ve seen “Published by arrangement with Original Publisher” but only when there was another copyright holder involved, like the author or a movie production company on novelizations (which the one in question is too).
Is there really no better alternative for this? Other databases seem to manage without any kind of suffixes, why is that not possible here?
I was surprised when I read this because the different-ID, same-name approach works just as well with a Credit as it does with a Book. There are Credits in the database already for two different profiles with the same name.
I think that wording might have been a vestige from the bookogs days. As long as information/images for the credit are displayed when picking from the list, it should be able to be made clear which is which. Currently we only seem to get the name shown to pick from.

I know it’s not that common, but there are books that have a credit for trademark / TM, sometimes even with a date. Mostly on franchise related material or when food companies do cookery books or stuff like that.
Should we have a credit for that or just mention it in the Notes if at all?
